What are good ideas for a wedding at a beach location in the fall?

by Beach Wedding Ideas on November 5, 2009

I don’t want a beach theme, and am trying to incorporate the fall season, since it’s in November. Any ideas on decoration, favors, flowers, etc.
I don’t want a total beach theme, nor fall colors. I’m thinking pinks and browns, but not chocolate brown. A beach theme in November just doesn’t seem to fit, so any ideas? lighting, decor, flowers, favors, other ideas?

Go with the white clothes…they look great on the beach. For your flowers go with the rich deep colors of fall. Reds, oranges, yellows and you could throw in a little deep purple too. (These colors also make your skin tone look great in pictures) Play off these colors for decorations using the same flowers and adding a tiny bit of the beach with some pretty shells for centerpieces, on the cake, etc. and you could even add a few fall leaves here and there. Also a lot of pretty fruits are available at that time of year and could be used for decoration too…they look great with the color scheme. For favors why not candied and caramel apples? Who doesn’t love those! Wrap them in the cello bags and tie with a burgundy ribbon (maybe with the bride and grooms name printed on it) Hope this gives you some ideas and congratulations!

if you are having your wedding closer to the evening hours you can play your color scheme on the sunset colors which is close to fall colors like rust, dark red, maze

a beach wedding…..no beach theme?

Thats like making spaghetti and not wanting italian food.

I say if you are at the beach….the decorations are already there for you…..Sand, Sea Oats, and Waves.

Keep your color white….just white.

I had my wedding in Pensacola Florida at an all glass building at the beach….it was perfect with the water in the background and the sunset. It does not hurt that pensacola is known for having beaches that are soo white the sand looks like sugar.

TAKE THE FALL TO THE BEACH………GO FOR RUST, BROWNS, GOLD, COPPER, BRONZE AND RICH YELLOWS AND ORANGES TO SPICE YOU COLOR THEME……….THERE’S BROWN/COPPER ROSES, GOLDEN CALLA LILIES, ORANGE TIGER LILIES AND OF COURSE, ORANGE/PURPLE BIRDS OF PARADISE……SPICE THE BEACH WITH SOME BRIGHT RED HELICONIA TROPICAL FLOWERS AND RED GINGERS AND ANTHRIUMS.

FAVORS…….TRY BROWN PAPER BOXES TIED WITH NATURAL RAFFIA AND ENCLOSE A SHELL IN THEM AS SOUVENIRS OF THE LOCATION!!!!

WRAP CHAIRS TOPS WITH A WRAP OF COPPER ORGANZA AND TIE IN A LARGE FLAT SHELL INTO THE WRAP AS YOU TIE IT AROUND THE BACK OR ADD A FLOWER.

ADD SMALL SHELLS ON PICKS TO YOUR BRIDE BOUQUET OR THAT OF THE BRIDESMAIDS! USE SMALL SHELL BOUTONNIERES FOR THE GUYS.

IF YOU HAVE LITTLE GIRLS IN YOUR PARTY CREATE A SMALL WIRE PURSE PAINTED BRONZE AND ADD SHELLS WITHIN AND ATTACH A COLORFUL FLOWER TO THE HANDLE!

LET THE RING BEARER CARRY THE RINGS IN A PRETTY MEDIUM SIZED CONCHO SHELL!

JUST USE THE COLORS OF FALL INCORPORATED INTO YOUR BEACH THEME…..YOU DON’T WANT TO TAKE AWAY FROM THE MAGIC OF THE BEACH IN ITS SELF……CONGRATULATIONS AND GOOD LUCK!
