What are some good websites for cheap alternative wedding dresses/gowns?
My fiance and I are set to get married at the end of November and she wants me to give her some examples of what she should wear. Keep in mind that our real wedding isn’t for a few years (in Greece; beach wedding) but this November is our courthouse marriage. I’d like it to be simple yet still kinda elegant.
It’s not so much that we’re on a budget, but more that it’s not necessary to buy an expensive or flashy dress for the courthouse wedding when we already have fancy attire for the real wedding.
If it helps any, she’s 5′3", 34b cup, ghetto booty (for a white girl), slender, pale complexion, dirty blond/golden brownish hair.
HEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!
My best friend had a courthouse wedding. Her dress came from le Chateau. She bought it for around $60 CAD. It was long, tight fitting, with a crochet-like overlay all the way down. Stunning. She has a similar body-type to your fiancee (short, slim, small on top, heavier in the back)
Congrats!

Have her take a look at your local department stores in the party dress/special occasion clothes.

Macy’s, Dillard’s, etc. She can wear a prom dress or beach dress. She can pretty much wear anything she wants, it doesn’t even have to be white. I had a friend that found a white dress off the rack at Dillard’s for $12! It was gorgeous and perfect. I think she went looking after prom season so there were a lot of white dresses. Maybe look after homecoming season is over.

I like your over all plan but the dress she marries in will mean a lot more to her in 25 years than you think it will.
I would suggest getting an inexpensive WHITE brides maid gown.
blessedbeginnings.com has a lot of beautiful brides maids gowns that can be ordered in white. Many of them are under $200
At her size she will probably look good in just about anything. But please pay attention to how she might feel about that dress later. Besides, she might just wear the same dress twice! That would be a nice change from the norm right there!

Please don’t take this wrong but – I stop by the local Goodwill, Salvation Army, and second hand stores often and have seen the most beautiful dresses ($10- $40) in there. I buy clothes often from these types of stores (heck, the suit I just bought still has the JC Penny tag on it) and would encourage you/ her to visit those stores. Everyone does not have to know where it came from if you are to proud to say you shop there (I tell everyone I shop there..lol) but my point is nice clothes, very reasonable and you’re helping society as well.

A cheap way to do this is to go to a consignment shop and look at the selection of prom dresses that were only used one time. This way you can save money but still choose from a lot of different styles to suit her.

lol. i like your description of your fiance.
check the sale racks at department stores. even if they’re stores that don’t sell wedding dresses. i got mine on clearance at dillard’s for $40. also check out those discount stores (marshalls, ross, t.j. maxx) they have beautiful gowns!
good luck

She can buy whatever she wants. A courthouse wedding is a REAL wedding, pal.

Macy’s marks down dresses at the end of the season for as little as $10!
She should just find a pretty dress she loves–if she REALLY likes it she will wear it again, and she should use this as a great excuse to buy a fun dress she normally wouldn’t splurge on.

sears and jc penny both have nice simple dresses that are affordable.

The department store suggestions are good. I bought my dress at Nordstrom Rack (Nordstrom outlet) and it was about $100 for a $400 retail dress.
