Plan a Beach Wedding

Plan a Beach Wedding

Whether you prefer to plan your own beach wedding or choose a wedding planner or not these tips will help to keep the beach wedding that you have dreamed of from turning into a nightmare.

One of the best ways to reduce the burden of planning your beach wedding is to hire a professional wedding planner.   A good wedding planner will save you time and money while allowing you to express your uniqueness and creativity.

If you are on a strict budget or you prefer to plan your beach wedding yourself, making a list is the best way to get and stay organized.

Use a planning guide with your entire contacts phone numbers names and contact information and keep it accessible at all times.   Be sure to get your attendants involved and delegate duties to them.   Your maid of honor and bridesmaids are there to help you and they will feel needed and honored to help you make your beach wedding special.

The wedding ceremonies today of today are much more creative than cookie cutter weddings that you may remember attending.  Your beach wedding should be a reflection of your inner beauty and creativity.  Planning your beach wedding does not have to be complicated or stressful.  It can be an exciting and memorable experience.

Along with the traditional unity candle, you may consider adding candles to honor your parents or grandparents.

Some couples include the signing of the marriage license during the wedding ceremony.  In some wedding ceremonies the marriage license is signed after the lighting of the unity candle.

You may want to include a printed “program” into your beach wedding.  It include a beach or nautical theme.  The program may be trimmed with ribbons and printed on handmade paper or by professionals.   You may want to include a brief vignette in your program about how you and your fiancé met or that your maid of honor was your childhood friend.  You may even want to include your new address.

Another important use of a wedding program is to inform your guests of the names of those involved in the Beach wedding ceremony and to let everyone know the order the ceremony will follow.

Will you choose any special beach wedding  music or readings from scripture or special poetry?

You may choose to honor your ethnic heritage or family traditions during your beach wedding ceremony.

Some denominations require parts of the ceremony read by the preacher or priest or rabbi to be repeated while others may allow you and your fiancé to write and recite your own vows.

Depending on whether or not you have your beach wedding ceremony in a church or on the beach you will need to decide how to decorate.  When it comes to elegance, less is usually better.

Remember that your friends and guests will add beauty to your wedding so put your money into the reception where people will be spending the most time.

What are good ideas for a wedding at a beach location in the fall?

by Beach Wedding Ideas on November 5, 2009

I don’t want a beach theme, and am trying to incorporate the fall season, since it’s in November. Any ideas on decoration, favors, flowers, etc.
I don’t want a total beach theme, nor fall colors. I’m thinking pinks and browns, but not chocolate brown. A beach theme in November just doesn’t seem to fit, so any ideas? lighting, decor, flowers, favors, other ideas?

Go with the white clothes…they look great on the beach. For your flowers go with the rich deep colors of fall. Reds, oranges, yellows and you could throw in a little deep purple too. (These colors also make your skin tone look great in pictures) Play off these colors for decorations using the same flowers and adding a tiny bit of the beach with some pretty shells for centerpieces, on the cake, etc. and you could even add a few fall leaves here and there. Also a lot of pretty fruits are available at that time of year and could be used for decoration too…they look great with the color scheme. For favors why not candied and caramel apples? Who doesn’t love those! Wrap them in the cello bags and tie with a burgundy ribbon (maybe with the bride and grooms name printed on it) Hope this gives you some ideas and congratulations!
